My battery charger produces carbon monoxide which is deadly!
12.11.2018
This day I will charge my car for the first time whilst I’m skiing. I got up early, got dressed and parked my car next to the charging point for the electric cars. I plugged the chord in and told the app to charge. The battery charger turned on and I was kind of worried the whole day because that machine somehow produces carbon monoxide. I’m pretty sure that this is not supposed to be, but I can’t do much about it. I just made it in to the bus because I didn’t have much time and even had to run back to get out the carbon monoxide alarm. The weather looked beautiful that day and I started this day with a couple of easy runs and headed towards the fun park after. In the park I started with an easy box, practicing going over it straight and sideways. Practiced going over a rail after the box and continued to build up towards tougher rails. I was going well for the first time in the fun park and checked how much I charged once I got back to my van. I was charging for 434 minutes, 1,9KwH and I only had to pay 40cents!!! This is insane, I couldn’t believe it. I guess energy is not that expensive, but I was expecting a lot more. I drove to Innsbruck, went shopping and got my winter tires. Headed back to my usual #vanlife spot on the parking lot of my work and set up my fire stove again. I was glad to see that not so much smoke came out of those leaks I had before. To keep figuring out, how I could stay warm during the night, I bought some coal briquettes and will see how they’ll work out.
